Canada 150 Parade

This is an invitation for your community to participate in Canada 150.

The Community Folk Art Council of Toronto  is proud to announce that we will be hosting a Parade ” Parade of Nations” ,this year for the Celebration 150  on  July 1st, Canada Day!

We would like to invite EVERY Community to apply to take part in this parade. We would love see your community represented in the parade, in your ethnic costumes, and presenting a *Float that would reflect what your community has contributed to Canada in the last 150 years or less. For example the Dutch float with an agriculture theme, will display hundreds of Tulips and other agricultural themes. ( *Please note, the float is not mandatory, but we would love to see one!)  We also do encourage bands and or lots of parade music from your community as well!

The parade starts at 10:00 am on July 1st, 2017 at Church and Bloor, continues west on Bloor to Yonge, and South on Yonge to Dundas square, ending around 11:00am.
